I wanted to upload something before my hiatus, so here y'all go! (I know, lame title is lame.)

This is actually a present for the wonderful :iconferi-san: who I've heard is a Legend of Zelda fan :giggle: She has a lovely gallery with a cute and lively style, so be sure to check her out!

I actually started this piece several months ago, but never got around to painting it until recently (3 days ago, lol). My goal with this piece was to keep it as painterly-looking as possible - not too much detail. Not quite sure if I've hit the mark, but I'm satisfied with it. :)

Well, I start my hiatus today - I'll be checking in once a week (probably on Fridays), though, so no worries, I'm not leaving for good. ;)

Wow, this is a beautiful picture, and you've done a great job with the painting, especially on Epona's coat, and Link's hair looks, well, like hair, not just a blob of paint like you get with so many other pictures

That looks beautiful, I love the texture, the lighting is wonderful and thw characters look amazing. Plus the expressions and poses brings out the "action" of the piece.

It's really incredible, I just have a few crits.

Link's stirrups are very long - if you ever look at images of riders, even showjumpers, they have their knees bent, so they can stand up and lean forwards over the horses neck. Their hands are rarely to the side of the horses neck, and just to be uber picky, he's holding the reins wrong =P

But either way, this is still an awesome piece! I love the painted style of it, you definately caught that just right.
