Alternate title: Guardian of the Mountain Temple

This is an older drawing, actually. I did it last year around December, but I never could get a decent enough picture of it, as it is too big to scan at home. I found the drawing today as I was finishing packing my room, and decided to try to photograph it again.

While it still isn't grand, it's better than nothing. :)

I don't remember exactly what the Japanese writing says, but it's something along the lines of this - The guardian dragon smiles, the crystal waterfall... and I can't remember the rest. ><;

Done with Japanese ink on Arches watercolor paper.

oh wow! there is so much detail. all of my japanese ink paintings turn out boring, pale, and smudged.....of course i used rice paper...maybe i'll try your way next time

Detail is what I strive for. :) Thanks!

Rice paper can be a tough paper to work on. Even I have trouble with it from time to time. I did like the watercolor paper, though, as it was more sturdy and held up well.
