Artist's Comments Just a simple stamp I made for Zakka  .She just made a beautiful tutorial for drawing realistic wolves. I highly recommend checking it out! [link] I really do believe her words to be true. I understand that some people prefer to draw in cartoonish styles, and I have no quarrel with that! Still, many many professional cartoonists, animators, etc start by studying/sketching/drawing from real life. By working through observation like that, they gain more experience, and then they can truly have a grasp for what they are doing and do it well. As Zakka said, do not reference from animated movies, other artists (such as WildSpirit), or cartoons - go to the real thing first! Anyways, I hope this meets your liking, Zakka, and thank you for being a wonderful and helpful artist to this community. |

While at work I study canine anatomy. During playtimes I sit there while I'm petting the dogs and I'll feel the shoulder bones and their feet...although my canine feet are always very stylized. XD
I think that's part of the reason I draw what I do. I draw dogs because I'm always around them, and people because I'm around them too...plus those life drawing classes with nude models that I took helped. XD
